Artists who work with Disney

Darren Wilson
Unfortunately this is another artist which I couldn't find enough information on to link between why he liked or chooses to do Disney. I still love his work. His characters have a lot of personality about them even thought it is just a painting, and how even though they aren't the typical Disney portrait of there characters they are still amazing. From looking at a few of his paintings it shows that he is very interested in only the characters themselves not the scenery, which means that when he isn't painting Disney he is probably doing portraits.

John Alvin
John Alvin was an movie campaign artist who created many posters including Mel Brook's "Blazing Saddles in 1974. He was born on the 24th November 1948 and died on the 6th of February 2008, he was 59.
Alvin had worked with many directors towards their film advertising including: Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Blake Edwards, George Lucas and Ridley Scott. The directors have said that they all loved going to Alvin because he gave amazing work and gave them a great experience.
Alvin's big break came when Mel Brooks asked him create the film poster for "Blazing Saddles", only 4 ears after he had graduated from the Art Centre College of Design. Not long after the movie was released Brooks also wanted Alvin to create the film poster for his new film "Young Frankenstein" (one of my favourite films). Soon after these films were released along with Alvin's work many other directors were demanding for him. Alvin had created over 135 movie posters during his 35 year career.
One of Alvins greatest quality was that he is able in infuse art and feeling into posters. This was why Disney wanted to hire Alvin to do the movie poster for "The Lion King". Disney said that "Alvin's' work inspired Disney and that he brings emotion and magic into his work". Alvin did 16 different movie posters and paintings for Disney.

Jim Salvati
Salvati was born in 1957 in South California, and was the oldest sibling of 3. His parents had a passion for art and it seems as though they had passed it onto the next generation. Jims mother used to paint in the house while his father used to collect various different pieces from different artists. Salvati was always surrounded by art as both of his uncles were artists and an architecture.
Salvati grew up loving the sea and he started to immerse himself on art and surfing. He decided to follow the path of some of his family members and he started to study architecture but soon after he realised that this was not what he had wanted to do.
He graduated the Art Centre College of Design in Pasadena and he immediately started to paint posters for various different companies including Disney and Warner Bros. His art has been seen buy many through advertising. His detail in fine art is something that makes this artist stands out
I love Salvatis works as ,even though it is Disney, it doesn't look "cartoony". His detail and realistic paintings is something that I admire and something that I want to do myself in my own Disney paintings. Also not only does he paint Disney but he also paints Harry Potter and Tim Burton Work.
